Visits to the Archives are by appointment only. Requests for an appointment can be made by calling the Archives (859) 538-1176. Office hours are Monday 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; Tuesday 1:00-4:00 p.m.; Wednesday 1:00-2:00 p.m.; Thursday 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Anyone requiring a copy of a sacramental record should first contact the parish in which the sacrament was originally recorded. Requests for sacramental records should be made to the Archives only if the parish of origin is unknown or if that parish cannot find a particular record. Academic transcripts from some closed schools are available in the Archives. A signed release of information form (supplied by the Archives) is required from anyone requesting a certified copy of a sacramental record or academic transcript. The Archives staff will research other historical information for those who cannot visit the Archives in person, provided that the research required will not take an unreasonable length of time.
