A Message from Bishop Foys
My Dear Friends in Christ:
We celebrated the 5th Synod of the Diocese of Covington at a gathering in our Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption on Sunday, August 13, 2006. For three years prior to that every priest, deacon, religious and lay person throughout the Diocese had an opportunity at the parish level to participate in the discussions that would shape the Synod documents that would be recommended to me as your Bishop.Census Sunday in Campbell and Kenton Counties scheduled for Oct. 16 and Oct. 23
The taking of a census in Campbell and Kenton counties later this year is on track and on schedule. The census will be conducted on Sundays, Oct. 16 and 23, by volunteers from the 29 parishes in the two counties. (Follow-up Census Sundays, if needed, are scheduled for 2012, in February, March and June.)
