Diocese of Covington - Education at PO Box 15550, Covington, KY 41015-0550 US - Inclusive Education Awards

The Sister Dorothy Inclusive Education committee is seeking nominations for its annual Inclusion Awards. High schools, elementary schools, or parish programs of religion nominated should:

1. Provide services for children with special need
2. Have a program showing significant commitment to children with special needs.
3. Follow diocesan policy and guidelines, when initially enrolling, or continuing the enrollment of, children with special needs
4. Show evidence of successfully providing services to meet the needs of children with special needs
5. Publish their desire to provide services to children with special needs

   The Inclusive Education Committee, a representative group of parents, educators, professionals, and concerned citizens, is an advisory committee to the Department of Catholic Education. The Committee encourages the educational ministries of the diocese to provide services to persons with special needs and shares information with the wider community in order to increase awareness of special needs. The Committee functions as a support group among persons involved in this ministry.

   2002:

   Holy Cross District High School

   St. Henry District High School

   2003:

   St. Paul Elementary

   St. Pius X Parish Program of Religion
