Members present: Ms. Mary Ann Grimm, Ms. Stephanie Rechtin, Ms. Anita Dunn, Ms. Jan Ankenbauer, Phil Gessner Staff: Mr. Michael Quigley, Ms. Eileen Messer, Kathleen Michels Excused absence: Sister May Francis, Kelly Halpin Meeting opened with prayer by Anita Dunn at 3:50 p.m.
Motion to approve by Phil Gessner; seconded by Jan Ankenbauer. Minutes approved with noted corrections needed.
No change.
General discussion of seeking the financially practical from list of needs and a need for a statement relating to the special needs represented in the diocese. Phil Gessner suggested that a statement relating to Persons with Disabilities should come from the Peace and Justice Committee. Stephanie Rechtin offered to draft a letter to different members of that committee. Ms. Grimm suggested draft be sent to Mike Quigley for approval by Dr. Bowman.
Marian West is working on putting Resource book on the web. General discussion of Ms. Ankenbauer lending help to Kathleen Michels on update.
Dr. Bowman has sent a letter to Principals and DREs. One school has called about applying. General discussion continued on history of award. Committee can make nominations at January 13th meeting. Deadline for nominations is January 15. Selection process will take up February meeting.

MaryAnn Grimm shared vision therapy and report from Dr. Garbig and Kerestan.
Mike Quigley reported that IDEA passed in Congress. This means what had formerly been regulations are now laws. Now it is a time process to see when it is put into effect. Kenton County is planning to change from children who reside in county to children attending in district.
