Meeting opened with prayer by Mike Quigley at 3:50 p.m.
$70.00 was spent on the plaques for Inclusive education award. Balance is $1109.31. Kathleen Michels suggested we spend some of the money to update the videos in the Inclusive library.
Awards went to Holy Cross and St. Henry Elementary. Mike Quigley suggested adding requirement to nomination form so groups know what they are. Group discussed a more formal list with specifics.
Sister Francis brought up the updating of the brochure. Group discussed the need for clarifying points. Anita Dunn suggested each member take a brochure and make changes they would suggest.
Stephanie Rechtin shared a copy of the letter drafted to the Disablity Committee suggesting a statement regarding speacial ed be a part of the Synod document.
Names suggested to invite to be members were discussed. Mary Ann Kelly, an interested parent, and Cindy Fangman, parent.
Mike Quigley brought up a meeting about Kenton County’s funding for identified needs in parochial schools. He questioned whether committee felt speech should be offered during the day or at end of day? All agreed with during. MaryAnn Grimm also said we need to stress collaboration. She asked if we recognized any needs we thought should be addressed.
Mike Quigley shared the Enquirer article and the Messenger picture of the Award ceremony. Eileen Messer shared a copy of the upcoming Messenger which has an article on St. Henry and Holy Cross.
Motion to adjourn at 5:15 pm by Sister Mary Francis; seconded by Jan Ankenbauer.
The next meeting will be held at the Catholic Center on Thursday, March 10th, 2005, at 3:45 p.m. in room 339.
