SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at 303 Keller Ave., North Judson, IN 46366-1209 US - Home

Welcome to Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in North Judson, Indiana.  United in Faith, the Parishioners of Saints Cyril and Methodius desire to learn, to grow Spiritually, to reach out and instruct others as the Lord is teaching us through Worship and Ministry.  If you have questions about the Catholic Faith, check out the vast resources available on our Links page or contact us  by email or phone 574-896-2195 weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM CT.

Urgent
Our Religious Freedom is under attack by the Obama Administration.   Never before has the federal government forced individuals and organizations to go out into the marketplace and buy a product that violates their conscience. This should not happen in a land where free exercise of religion ranks first in the Bill of Rights.  Catholics and non-Catholics alike are affected by this oppressive legislation.  Go to the  USCCB website to take action.

Sixth Week in Ordinary Time

February 14 is the Feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius, our parish patrons!

The Knights of Columbus Mardi-Gras celebration will be held in the church parlor on Monday, February 20, immediately following the 6 PM Mass.

Ash Wednesday
is next week on February 22, marking the beginning of Lent.  The Liturgy and Worship Commission will again sponsor weekly Lenten Soup Suppers with guest speakers.  The dates and speakers will be announced soon.

What is RCIA?  RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.  It is the normal process by which adults interested in becoming Catholic can come into the Church.  The process has several stages, the first of which is an inquiry period, a time to ask questions and explore what the Catholic Church is about.  Sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 8 PM CDT.  If you are not Catholic and would like to inquire about the Catholic Faith without any pressure or obligation, this is your opportunity.  Bring your questions and concerns.  If you are Catholic and want to enhance your faith, you may also attend.  Consider inviting a non-Catholic friend to come with you.  Email cyril@catholicweb.com if you want more information.

Food Pantry needs:  Jelly, juice, canned fruit, peanut butter, dish soap, laundry soap, paper products, boxed potatoes, mashed potatoes, and crackers.

Description: http://home.catholicweb.com/cyril/images/St_Vincent_de_Paul_logo_%2805%29.jpgOur local Society of St. Vincent de Paul exists to assist those in need.  If you or someone you know of, needs help in the North Judson - San Pierre Area, call (574) 249-0162. Occasionally, cell phone messages are lost or difficult to understand.  If you do not receive a reply to your message within a few hours, call again or phone the Rectory at 896-2195 weekdays between 9 AM and 3 PM.

Are you a Catholic
who has been away from the Church for a while? Maybe it’s been quite a few years since you have been to Mass. Maybe you left because someone or something made you angry. Maybe you just stopped going and would now feel uncomfortable going back. Maybe you would like to go back, but don’t know what to do. You think things have changed and you would feel out of place. If you have a Bible handy, read Luke chapter 15. Coming home after being away is a cause for joy and celebration.  If you still have doubts or questions, visit the Catholics Come Home website, or you can call the Rectory at 896-2195 and make an appointment to talk.

Learn the truth of the Catholic Faith on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM here at Ss Cyril & Methodius

"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church—which is, of course, quite a different thing."  -Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
