Bishop Fulton J. Sheen once said, "not 100 in the United States hate the Roman Catholic Church, but millions hate what they mistakenly think the Roman Catholic is." Classes in the Catholic Faith begin this week on Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM at the Rectory. Explore the true Church that Jesus Christ founded 2000 years ago. Everyone is welcome. There is no obligation. Send email questions to cyril@catholicweb.com for more information.
Marriage does not always follow the happily ever after formula popular in the media. Most couples whose marriages end in divorce are people who never learned the proper tools for a happy marriage and became overwhelmed in disillusionment or misery. Couples in Retrouvaille learn to move from Misery to Awakening with learnable skills, attitudes and tools to combat the inevitable problems of the real world. Do not lose hope! Awakening is only a phone call away. Call 1-800-470-2230. Your call can remain anonymous and will not be subject to third party discussion. Call for dates and weekend locations or visit www. retrouvaille.org.
Food Pantry needs for November: All Canned Vegetables, Canned Pasta, Rice, Mac and Cheese, Canned Soup, Canned Fruits, Peanut Butter, and Oatmeal.
Health care reform should not include coverage for abortion on demand. Please communicate with Congress and join the National Prayer Campaign. For details see www.PrayerCampaign.org.
Eucharistic Adoration takes place every Sunday morning from 8:30 AM until 10:20 AM. "How great is the value of conversation with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, for there is nothing more consoling on earth, nothing more efficacious for advancing along the road of holiness!" - Pope Paul VI, Mysterium Fidei
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available here at Saints Cyril and Methodius Saturdays after 8:30 AM Mass and from 3:00 to 4 PM, and during Eucharistic Adoration on Sunday mornings. Confessions at All Saints in San Pierre are on Saturdays from 5:15 to 5:45 PM and Sundays from 8:15 to 8:45 AM.
Are you a Catholic who has been away from the Church for a while? Maybe it’s been quite a few years since you have been to Mass. Maybe you left because someone or something made you angry. Maybe you just stopped going and would now feel uncomfortable going back. Maybe you would like to go back, but don’t know what to do. You think things have changed and you would feel out of place. If you have a Bible handy, read Luke chapter 15. Coming home after being away is a cause for great joy and celebration. If you still have doubts or questions, visit the Catholics Come Home website, or you can call the Rectory at 896-2195 and make an appointment to talk.
Question of the Week:
How can Mary be ever-virgin if Jesus had 'brothers'? [Answer]

Catholic Home Study Service offers 8 FREE home study courses. You receive a textbook and workbook with study questions. You can send your workbook answers in by mail or over the Internet where any corrections can be made and your questions will be answered.
