Mission Statement

THE OFFICE OF YOUTH MINISTRY SERVES THE YOUNG CATHOLIC PEOPLE OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS THROUGH ADULT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT.

In pursuit of this Mission, we emphasize these Gospel values:
- the dignity of each person
- the value of lifelong faith development
- the gifts of young people
- the call to justice and leadership
- the wisdom of shared leadership
- the value of parish community.


Vision Statement

Our Vision is to:
- promote a comprehensive approach to youth ministry
- support and sustain parish youth ministry leaders
- provide leadership, resources, services, programs and conferences for the education and formation of youth ministry leaders and young people
- advocate for the role and needs of young people in the church and in the community at large.
