Respect Life Office at 631Market St., Camden, NJ 08102 US - Mission Statement

Mission Statement

The Office of Family Life/Respect Life is dedicated to building a Culture of Life in our families, the Catholic community and the general public. We will work to protect and nurture human life at every stage, from conception to natural death. We will work to strengthen families who are the Domestic Church. We will do this within the Catholic tradition of a Consistent Ethic of Life through education, enrichment, healing and prayer.

Project Rachel is here to reach out to those hurting emotionally and spiritually after involvement with abortion.
Without a doubt, abortion can be one of the most traumatic experiences in a person's life. Often with abortion, it seemed the only solution at the time. Feelings of grief, anxiety, guilt and anger are common, not only for the woman who undergoes an abortion but also for the man involved, relatives, friends and even medical personnel. The pain of loss is often buried initally, but may be manifested by relationship difficulties, depression, or other emotional or spiritual problems. It may even be intensified by a sense of alienation from God and the Church.
