Office of Worship

It is the bishop's role to ensure that worship throughout the Diocese of St. Petersburg reflects the principles laid down by the Second Vatican Council. The Office of Worship assists the bishop in carrying out his functions as "promoter and guardian of the liturgical life" of the diocese by:
  • coordinating cathedral and diocesan liturgies,
  • promoting programs that contribute to the advancement of liturgical life,
  • formulating and implementing diocesan liturgical guidelines,
  • promoting and providing liturgical formation to clergy and parishes,
  • serving as a resource to parishes regarding liturgical matters, and
  • helping to shape a vision for the future liturgical life of the Diocese.
