Florida Council of Catholic Women/Province of Miami at 355 Streamview Way, Winter Springs, FL 32708 US - Home

Message from the Province Director

The summer is now behind us and our members are getting for another busy year of Council activities.  It was my pleasure to be able to attend five of the seven diocesan conventions.  It is an honor to serve as your president and to represent you on the NCCW Board as your Province Director.
Although many members are resting for the summer, all of our Arch/diocesan presidents are busy planning their Council years and providing leadership training for their women.  The women from the Archdiocese of Miami are very busy this summer as they make plans to host our FCCW Biennial Conference this October in Ft. Lauderdale.  The Conference will be held at the Westin, Ft. Lauderdale, and all members are encouraged to attend.  The Conference is  open to ALL Council members and you do not have to be an officer or commission chair to attend.
In September, many of our members will be traveling to Michigan for the N.C.C.W. Annual Convention.  Sheila Hopkins, from the Diocese of Pensacola/Tallahassee, will be installed as NCCW President-Elect and the ladies from the Orlando Diocese will be inviting the women to come to Orlando in 2015, when this Province will once again be honored to have the National Convention in our own backyard.
There is information and forms for our Conference on the web site and a link to the NCCW web site for information about the National Convention.  I hope that this year is the year that you decide to become more involved in Council.  Even if you feel you are only a member, know that YOU are the Council of Catholic Women and I would love to hear from you.
I am always here to listen, just email me at ccwrose@yahoo.com.   I welcome your comments on what you like about Council, how we can make meetings more interesting, or just to say hello.

May the Peace and Joy of Jesus be with you always,

 Rosi Schuhmacher
