St. Francis de Sales at 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, NY 12211 US - Prayers for Our Service Personnel

With tensions and conflicts increasing in Iraq and other areas of the world, our Parish Pastoral Council has suggested that we focus our attention and offer increased prayers for our Armed Service personnel stationed in those areas. Therefore, we would like to recognize St. Francis de Sales Armed Services personnel (or relatives and friends who are presently serving in the armed forces) by posting their pictures on a parish bulletin board. Please send your photograph to the Parish Office at 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, NY 12211 or place it in the weekend collection basket. On the back of each picture include the name, rank, and present assignment of the serviceman or servicewoman. If you send two pictures, one will also be posted at our Exchange Street Church. In addition, we will reintroduce our Book of Prayer for Armed Service Personnel in our two sanctuaries. You will be invited to inscribe the names of your relatives and friends who are serving in conflict areas in our Book of Prayer. We will remember them in prayer at all of our weekend liturgies. Will one or two parishioners be willing to assist with this project by receiving and posting the photographs received?
