I would like to express my sincere appreciation to those who have put their trust in me. I humbly follow in the footsteps of others who have done an exceptional job leading our assembly. I will do my best to make this a better assembly than when I started my term.

I feel that change is a good thing, but we also must also look to the past for stabilization in the Order. I do not plan to make waves in the pond but I might stir a few ripples, and ask you to join in the fun and adventure.

I am encouraged by the recruitment of new members. My mentor has taught me well that others will not join unless asked, and I am encouraging you to ask other brother knights to become Fourth Degree members. I am also asking you Fourth Degree members who are not currently in color to become a color corps member. Remember, the color corps is the visible arm of the order.

I am privileged to lead you and look forward to this year.
