A Message From the Faithful Navigator

Welcome to the website of the Father Michael J McGivney Assembly #2226. The assembly meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Belmont, MI.

About the Fourth Degree
The Fourth Degree was first considered in 1886. A special plea was made at the National Meeting of 1889. The first Fourth Degree exemplification was held in 1900 This Exemplification was held at the Lenox Lyceum in New York and was attended By 1100 Knights.

The fourth Degree is the highest degree of the Order. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism and to encourage active Catholic citizenship. A knight is eligible to join the Fourth Degree after one year from the date of his First Degree, providing he has completed the 2nd and 3rd Degree.

Members of the Assembly participated in the Grand Rapids Veterans Day Parade to give honor and tribute to Veterans on November 11, 2011.
