REFLECTION for Christ the King …..Christ was the King, the Messiah, and yet his life was not easy. He had times of weariness when he had to get away from the crowds. He had times of doubt and times when he did not want to do what he knew the Father wanted of him. He knew struggle and failure. If we are truly his followers, we should not expect things to go better for us than they did for him. Life can be very hard at times; but, we have his example to guide us and we know that the Spirit is with us to guide and help us on our way.
Your decrees are worth of trust indeed;holiness befits your house.
–Psalm 93:5

A NOTE FROM SR. COLETTE…
Today we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King and the last Sunday of the Church Year. In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus has continually challenged the disciples to abandon their ideas of a powerful, political Messiah. Jesus cannot deny that he is a king even though he is not the kind of king that Pilate has in mind. Jesus confirms that he came into the world to testify to the truth. And the truth is that Jesus is not only the king of the Jews but the king of the whole world. He is the Son of Man who will give his live for all and be rewarded by an act of God in His resurrection

Dear Lord,
We give thanks for our many blessings, as we pray for those in
need…We give thanks for our family and friends, as we pray for those who are lonely…We give thanks for our freedoms, as we pray for those who are oppressed…We give thanks for our good health, as we pray for those who are ill…We give thanks for our comfort and prosperity, as we share our blessings with others.
On this day of Thanksgiving,
may the love of God enfold us,
the peace of God dwell within us,
and the joy of God uplift us.

Make it a GOOD Day!
