The St. Vincent de Paul Society at Guardian Angel is one of 48 church-based conferences located throughout southern Indiana and the Archdiocese of Louisville. Following the example of St. Vincent de Paul, the Vincentians offer assistance to all who need help. Volunteers, called Vincentians, provide counseling and direct financial support for rent, utilities, food goods, and services to the poor and needy in our community. In the unique one-on-one service, volunteers call on people in their homes, sitting down with them and addressing their needs. In southern Indiana and the Archdiocese of Louisville area 700 Volunteers helped 5,700 families in home visits last year. Additional services include food pantry assistance, hospital and nursing home visits, and prison visits.
