Rituals are a set or system of religious rites joined in solemnity of an occasion or an event.  These rites are historically local in origin, and adapted by other areas with additions and changes being made to them.  Rituals help people to focus their thoughts and energies, and to participate in group activities, especially those centered on religious beliefs.

When families participate in the liturgical rituals of the Catholic Church each member adds to the strength of the fibers that bind the family together. This is why families are involved in the sacramental programs, especially  those of the children.  Parents and sponsors (godparents) are expected to be participants in the preparation program prior to the baptism of infants (children under the age of eight years).  Families participate in preparation for first Communion and Confirmation. 

As Catholics we believe that "Through the liturgical life of the local church, Christ, the light and salvation of all peoples, is made manifest to the particular people and culture to which that Church is sent and in which she is rooted." Lumen Gentium 4  Each of our sacraments of initiation is celebrated at Mass, thereby allowing all of the members of our parish to join in the celebration.  With Christ as our focus, the people of Guardian Angels Parish invite you and your family to join us in worship, and in experiencing the joy that comes from a vibrant relationship with God as witnessed within our community of believers.
