"One of the great HFS experiences I had was meeting and becoming friends with so many kids from different ethnic backgrounds. I was able to experience their different traditions and especially their food. Pretty sure that's why I'm a firm believer in the "try anything once" slogan (haha). Even though my parents brought me up to respect others, be compassionate, be passionate about life, share a smile and a hello, always be there for your friends, help those in need, and never judge a book by it's cover, Holy Family reinforced these values. Values I still live with and live by today. Another experience that I will always cherish is the friends I made and still have to this day. Some I've kept in contact with since I departed Holy Family some 23 years ago, and others, whom I have just reconnected with in the past 5 or 6 months, seem like we were never really apart. The memories start coming back, you laugh because everyone says everyone else still looks the same, except you're all grown up. The bonds that I forged with many childhood friends are remarkably still strong today and for that, I'm very honored and grateful." Steven Lombardo (Class of '86)
