With each stroke of the tool a new nitch is created until the final blow is hit then it is finished. The artist knows when this blow is struck. The creation is not only his or hers but that of God. If a person does not believe that God intervened when Michelangelo was carving the Peita they are a fool. This, as many other works were with divine intervention. Through the hands of the artist God gave to the world a thing of beauty. Something to be loved and to give inspiration to the Church, to it's people who make up the church.
We leave a bit of ourselves when we create a work of art. Be it small or large it was with the hands of God. I recall a Movie called Ghost, there was a part where the ghost was holding the hands of his wife who was alive as she worked at the potters wheel turning a pot made out of clay. I thought this must be the way that God the Father helps those gifted in the arts as they create. It is with his help that something is finalized.
With out our God of Love and strength we would be nothing. He does not promise us false promises' as some do but just asure's us if we live a decent life we will be with him in paradise.
There are times when a person's gift becomes dry, I guess like a person that writes books you have that block. Then something happens and you feel inside something telling you to do this or that and it feels good. You take your innermost feeling and follow it and do the piece of art that makes one feel good inside.
