Diocesan policy requires that an appointment be made with the Pastor at least six months prior to the wedding. Do not set a final wedding date prior to your initial interview. Marriage preparation will require attendance at an Engaged Encounter , Pre-Cana or special classes with a priest. In cases of long standing marriages contracted outside the Catholic Church, these may be validated or "blessed" after a simpler preparation.
