Faith Formation Classes
Our Faith Formation Program (also referred to as CCD) seeks to provide a fundamental religious education to those students attending public schools.

Religious education for students ranging from Pre-K to High School is taught in an atmosphere of love, care, and respect for the uniqueness of each child. Because parents are the primary educators it is important that they work together with the catechists    (the teachers) to model Christian virtues by attending Sunday Mass together as a family.

Registration will take place during the last two weeks of August after Sunday Masses and classes begin the first Sunday after Labor Day and will run through the end of May.

Classes are offered for the Sacraments of Baptism, Penance, First Communion and Confirmation.

Session One
Grades Pre-K – High School
     CCD classes follow the 9:00a.m. Family Mass and let out promptly at 11:00a.m.
    
     All parents with children in the second grade First Communion Classes need to attend CCD classes with their child every Sunday.
    
      In addition, parents must furnish a copy of their child’s Baptismal Certificate and attend the eight (8) required parent meetings during the year.
    
     Confirmation Students who have received First Communion prior to sixth (6^th) grade can enter our two (2) year program for Confirmation in seventh (7^th) grade and be Confirmed in eighth (8^th) grade.

Session Two
High School
     Older children needing Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation attend the 12:00p.m. Mass followed by classes in the school building until 2:00p.m.

First Communion
     First Communion is a two (2) year program separate from Confirmation.

Confirmation
     Confirmation is a two (2) year program.
    
     Parents should bring a copy of their child’s Baptism Certificate when registering in August.

Faith Formation (CCD) Class Requirements
     Students are expected to attend class every week.  If the student will be absent; notice needs to be given in advance, or they must bring a note when they return as to why they were absent.  Excessive absences will result in the student not meeting the requirements for sacrament preparation.
    
     Students need to be in their assigned classroom no later than 10:00a.m for Sesion One and 1:00p.m. for Session Two.
    
     Students need to be prepared for class which in clued bringing the assigned books, writing papers, pencils and any assignment that may be due.
    
     Purchase of grade text/activity book is necessary.
