Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 1043 Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501 US - Sacraments Preparation
Baptism is a time of great joy for our community as we claim a new member for Christ. It is also a moment of serious thought about our commitment to our Christ. In the formal Rite of Baptism parents publicly accept the responsibilty of training their child in the practice of the faith and to bring them up to keep God's commandments by loving God and loving neighbor. The godparents publicly delare their duty to help the parients in this task. It is our aim to provide catechesis to assist the parents and godparent in preparing and executing these commitments.
Parents are encouraged to contact the Parish Office to schedule an appointment to attend this class.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is not a Sacrament but is the process by which the Catholic Church initiates adults into full coimmunion with the Church. RCIA involves all three sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. It is for anyone who:
- has never been baptized
- has been baptized in another Christian tradition and now wants to become Catholic
- has been baptized, but has not celebrated Confirmation or Eucharist.
The RCIA process respects each person's unique Faith journey and allows plenty of time for discernment to guide all those who are involved in the process. Before entering the process, an initial interview should be arranged between the Inquirer and an RCIA Coordinator.
To request more information about RCIA at Holy Rosary, contact Monsignor Tim at firstname.lastname@example.org or simply by calling the Parish Office.
Anointing of the Sick
This sacrament is administered both to the dying and to those who are ill or are about to undergo an operation, for the recovery of the health and for spiritual strength. Please contact Monsignor Tim or Father Todd if you wish to be anointed.
