(Father Kenneth Taylor, Pastor) Who are we ?. . .We are a Catholic auxiliary youth organization and the junior division of the Knights of Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary. The Junior Daughters were founded in 1930. The membership of the Junior Daughters is made up of Roman Catholic youth from age 7 to 18; and we are national in scope. This program is of wide range and strives to meet the interests and needs of the members as follows: v Spiritual – To supplement the formal instructional religious training received in the church, school or home. v Social – to cultivate the many social graces, develop poise and self confidence in social situations, enjoy the companionship of other people in wholesome surroundings. v Educational – to encourage academic achievement and earn funds towards secondary education. v Physical – to develop physical efficiency through a program of activities built upon youth functioning in the light of their capacities. v Civic * Cultural – to cultivate interests and tastes that will produce a more profitable use of leisure time and develop an appreciation of their duties as Catholics and citizens. Who can join ?. . . ü Practicing Roman Catholic young ladies between the ages of 7 and 18. ü Young ladies who have received their first Holy Communion. ü Young ladies who have completed an application for membership. We have fundraisers, work within the community, feed the homeless, attend conventions, visit nursing homes and participate in other spiritual activities. We are involved in many activities to spread the word of God and help where we are needed. Deluxe Bread and Dough Maker. Chances for the Bread and Dough Maker are $5.00. To buy chances please contact Pat Murrell (828-4551) or any Junior Daughter. A picture of the Bread Maker will be on the Bulletin Board in the back of Church. Bake The Junior Daughters have a Bake Sale in Bockhold Hall the third Sunday of every month.
