Academics:
Fully accredited by the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools.
Pre-School through 8th Grade offered.
Two pre-school programs are available (3-year-old program and 4-year-old program).
Daycare available from 11-6 (preschool enrichment and after school care)
Kindergarten program is full day, five days a week.
First through eighth grade classes consist of individual grades with no split classrooms.
Diocesan Curriculum:
Diocesan Curriculum is followed for all grades. Subject areas include Religion, Math (Advanced Math at West Catholic for qualifying 8th-graders), Science, Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Social Studies, Phonics, Spanish, Computer, Gym, Art and Music (P- 5), and Band (6- 8).
Staff:
Dedicated and accomplished teachers who teach because they care about your child's development provide a significant amount of individual attention to each child. All teachers and administrators are highly qualified and certified by the state of Michigan.
Competition:
A science fair, fine arts fair, and rotating religion and social studies fair ensure that each student will participate in two academic fairs related to each of the core curricula by graduation. Students also compete in the National Geographic Bee, Spelling Bee, America and Me essay and a drug and religion writing contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
Success:
Over 85% of the students score average or above average on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills.
