First grade is such an exciting year!  Reading and math are two big components of this year, but there is so much more.  We will attend the annual First Grade Thanksgiving Feast, write to Pen Pals, go on field trips, see a theater production, do service projects, and read to our Kindergarten Buddies.

Faith development is also very important.  This year we will be participating in Mass, hearing Bible stories, praying together, and attending Liturgical Music class.  We will be learning how to live our Catholic faith by following Jesus more closely.
