The Council met May 19. Six of the ten members were present. A preview of the movie Fireproof was shown. Reports from the Liturgy, Faith Formation, Buildings/Grounds, and Parish Life Teams; and the Finance Council and Knights of Columbus were reviewed. Discussion was held regarding the Diocesan Reorganization Plan, Project Moses, collection counters, the proposal to hire a Pastoral Minister and an Administrative Assistant for the cluster, and a proposed cluster T-shirt design. These last two items will need to be addressed by the St. Michael Parish Council at their next meeting. It was noted the electric door opener has been installed and the parish lawn tractor has been sold. Todd Roerig, KC representative, was thanked for his years of service. The new Grand Knight will join the Council in July. The next meeting will be July 21.
BUILDINGS/GROUNDS TEAM REPORT: The Buildings/Grounds Team met on September 1 to review maintenance projects, including replacement of two sinking sections of sidewalk in spring 2010, installation of a security camera system, plans for snow removal 2009-2010, possible replacement of deteriorating speakers on the bell tower, pest control, and repairs at the fair stand including replacement of two doors, a counter top, sign boards, and old electrical outlets. The Team will meet again February 23, 2010.
