Kerschner, Joyce at, Dayton, OH 45449 US - 8th and 7th math, 7th STEM, and 7th religion

In 7th Grade Math - both sections - we are working on a geometry unit.  We will cover scale, area, perimeter, and surface area.  We will also review measure conversion.

In 7th Religion we are learning about Jesus the Healer, Jesus the Bread of Life and Jesus the Savior.  In February we will join with the 8th grade to prepare lunches for Saint Vincent.  I will continue to remind them of service hours.

In the 8th grade algebra class, we have been working with the chapter on operations with polynomials.  We continue to try to conquer word problems.  We will next begin the chapter that is strong of uniform motion problems.  It will be a difficult chapter for the class.

In the 8th grade pre-algebra class, we will continue to work on an algebra unit.  They will be adding more steps to their equations - making them more complex to solve,

In STEM, the 7th grade is working on the Create a Playground unit.  In this unit they are to design a playground, make a scale model ot it, and calculate all of the costs included.  They will make their final presentations to either Mr. Beyerle or Mrs. Allaire.
