The Joey O. Band will be making their first trip to Europe in October! The guys will be playing concerts every night Oct 1-6 in Gera, Germany.The shows in Germany, along with many Ft.Wayne,IN area shows, are to coincide with the release of The Joey O. Band's debut CD.

The Joey O. Band is very pleased to announce the return of longtime bassist Will Rogers. That's right, Will is back playing bass with the group. This move has been in the works for awhile and the guys are busy rehearsing in their new studio. This has been a very exciting year so far, with Joey O. taking over the vocal duties, all the new songs, & now Will coming back home to the group. The chemistry is amazing, they're playing out of their minds, & the guys love being back together. Your first chance to see the band will be at Lakers on April 28 in Hamilton,IN.

February 2, 2001
After experimenting with a couple different lead singers, both of which were eventually fired, Joey O. has returned to his lead singer duties. This is how the band was originally formed, with Joey O. handling the guitar and lead vocals. With a return to their roots, The Joey O. Band is sounding better than ever! The band also has a new bass player. Patrick Gillan joined in early January. This "change" has really energized the band. They've learned a ton of new songs and really put a new face lift on the band's sound. To quote Vince, "This is the best band we've ever had and the best we've ever sounded!" The band is really proud of all the work they've put into the new line-up and excited to have everyone hear their much improved new sound!

Big time thanks go out to the following bass players: Lee Lewis (Harper) and Will Rogers (Blue Streak), who will be filling in on bass while The Joey O. Band holds auditions for a new bass player.

The Joey O. Band will be playing at Lakers in Hamilton, IN for New Years! Lakers is a beautiful club right on the lake. The restaurant is great, so come early and make a night of it! Please check Tour Dates for more details.

The December 16 date at blooey's has been cancelled. blooey's is no longer doing live music. Sorry for any inconvenience.

June 5, 2000
The Lakers show in Hamilton, scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd, has been cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday, June 17th. Sorry for any inconvenience, this was out of our control. We'll see everybody at Lakers on June 17. Also... After many frustrating months, The Joey O. Band realised that the management situation with the guy in Texas was not working out. Both parties agreed to split on friendly terms. The band will be focusing on the many live shows they have coming up in the area, and making an effort to play in Fort Wayne more than they have. As for their debut cd, it looks like the band will be putting out a limited edition version themselves. The guys have been playing a couple of dynamite new songs at recent shows, but whether or not these new songs are included on the cd has yet to be determined. We'll keep you posted on everything. Happy New Year! After working their butts off all of 1999, The Joey O. Band is taking a well deserved break during most of January. The guys were in the studio the other day doing some post production work on their new cd. Also, the band is in negotiations with a management company out of Texas. If this deal goes through, look out! The band will get into some new markets, blues festivals, etc. And best of all, the debut cd by our heroes, The Joey O. Band, might get released by a real record company. Watch here for updates. The band will be back in action February 2nd at Skip's in Angola, IN, and February 4th at The Hot Spot in Ft.Wayne, IN. Be There!

December 07, 1999
The Joey O. Band has a new bass player! Matt Nowak, from Bryan, Ohio and formerly with The Reservoir Dawgs will play his first gig with The Joey O. Band on Saturday, December 11. The guys are all excited and looking forward to kickin' it out! Will Rogers, who had been playing bass for the band for over a year and a half did a great job, and Joey,Vince, and G Money wish him all the best. Also, the band just finished their debut cd, "The Joey O. Band"! It is being shipped to radio in other countries now. The release date has not been announced yet in the States. The band was going to put it out themselves, but now there are a couple record companies interested in putting it out and also a management company out of Texas who might end up handling The Joey O. Band. So after the dust settles and decisions have been made, you'll hear everything here first!

We are currently undergoing some technical changes with the website. Everything is being moved to a new server, and will be changed from time to time until we find something new. The address will not change; however, it's possible that the website will be down from time to time, and we'll have to deal with some annoying banners. Sorry for the inconvenience, we'll get it fixed ASAP!

Big Ron's in Payne, OH abruptly closed its doors. Apparently the deal for the new owners to "take over" the club "fell threw." The Joey O. Band lost a few dates due to the closing, so please check Tour Dates for current info. Big Ron's was a cool place, so we hope Ron and Kim get a new club soon!

September 23, 1999
On Saturday, September 25, The Joey O. Band is finally going to play Mickey & Billy's in Fort Wayne, IN. Yes, the club is actually open now after many delays. For those of you who have been following The Joey O. Band over the last three years, you might remember Tim Puckett. Tim played keys/harp/guitar with the band when they were based out of Michigan. Well, Tim is going to be playing at Mickey & Billy's on September 25 with The Joey O. Band! Although Tim is not "officially" back in the band, he will be playing shows with the band from time to time. The Joey O. Band has been based out of Indiana for two years now, and with Tim still in Michigan, it would be impossible for him to make every show. The guys are all looking forward to "kickin' it out" together, so don't miss this show!

September 8, 1999
The September 9 show at Mickey & Billy's has been cancelled and rescheduled once again. Billy's has been desperately scrambling to try to get the new club open, but everything seems to be going wrong. The Joey O. Band is scheduled to play September 25 at Mickey & Billy's. August 24, 1999

August 10, 1999
On August 21st and 22nd, The Joey O. Band will be going into the studio to record their debut CD. Once the basic tracks are done "live", the band will bounce back and forth between Soundmill Studios in Fort Wayne and Joey O.'s Studio in Auburn to finish the CD. The Joey O. Band will be the first band to play at the new Billy's Sports and Convention Center on September 3rd and 4th. Billy's is going to be the largest and most beautiful club in Northern Indiana, 50,000 square feet!!! The band is also booked there in November. Check Tour Dates for all the latest info!

July 31, 1999
The Joey O. Band took second place at "The Best Unsigned Blues Band In Indiana Competition" in Indianapolis. New Photos have been added from the July 10th Three Rivers show. New Tour Dates have been added as well. The Joey O. Band is taking a much needed break/vacation in mid-August. That's it for now! July 14, 1999 Pick up a copy of The Evening Star on July 15. The Auburn-based newspaper will have an interview with Joey O.! The Evening Star contacted Joey after hearing about The Joey O. Band's knockout performance at the Three Rivers Festival on July 10, where they played an amazing set in front of over 5000 people!

The first news at hand is that there is finally an Official Joey O. Website! Welcome and enjoy! The Joey O. Band will be headlining the outdoor Hopsapalooza concert in Fort Wayne on Saturday, August 7. Keep checking "Tour Dates" for the latest and most current info. On Sunday July 18,The Joey O. Band will be representing Northern Indiana in the "Best Unsigned Blues Band In Indiana Competition". The competition is put on by the Blues Society of Indiana and will be held in Indianapolis.The winner will represent Indiana in the "Nationals" to be held in Memphis in October.
