The Knights of Columbus
here for all people.

As a service organization, the Knights of Columbus owes its many achievements to the tireless efforts of those in local councils where the greatest impact is most often witnessed, both by our families and our neighbors. Knights serve as valuable role models for other Catholic men, as well as mentors for all our children. And, hopefully, as a source of inspiration for future generations of Knights.

Within the Order itself, there are four “Degrees” of Knighthood, each one meant to exemplify one of the four principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

To become a full Knight, each member is encouraged to attain the Third Degree level. After which, he can go on to the Fourth Degree, the one that embodies patriotism and is the most visible of all the Degrees. It is through their participation in these areas that Knights receive their greatest, and often most personal, rewards.

Our Council proudly supports three area churches:

St. John’s the EvangelistChurch and St. Nicholas Church in Dunellen. Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. We encourage all men who are parishioners over the age of 18 to join our council.

Part 4: How to Be a Dynamic and Evangelizing Parish
Two very different parishes show what it takes to be both energetic and spiritual.

14th Sun [B] 2009

Shortly after He began His public ministry, Jesus went back to His hometown of Nazareth. What happened there was very sad. All of the familiar things and people were there -- but it was far from being a happy homecoming. They gave Him the cold shoulder and He ended up leaving Nazareth forever. As St. Luke gives the account, the people there in Nazareth froze Him out and then tried to throw Him over a cliff. Why?
