The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a dinner to support the Refund Support Vocations Program and the seminarians we fund through this program. I need everyone's support on this one. The event will be held in the Warrell Social Hall on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. This dinner is for anyone and everyone. Invite your friends, invite your co-workers, invite your entire family. Every dollar we raise will go to support the 4 seminarians we fund each year, along with help from the roundtable on post. I strongly encourage you all to come out in support of this very worthy cause. The four seminarians we plan to support financially through this dinner are Shane Bowden, Kevin Kayda, Michael Metzgar and Christopher Rhodes. All proceeds will go to these four gentlemen.
As always, we need volunteers to help work the event. We need at least 5 personnel in the kitchen preparing the spaghetti, tomato sauce, meatballs and garlic bread and serving said food. We need at least 2 personnel at the finance desk taking money and working the raffle and 50/50. If any kids need service hours, this is a great way to notch a few more towards the final goal. The job would entail cleaning off table settings, silverware and bringing them to the kitchen to be washed. I would also need one Knight who can help supervise the kids as they help with this task and helping them wash dishes. Below I have listed the tasks and time slots needed to be filled. Please consider helping work this dinner to support the Seminarians in our parish.
I have attached the flyer that will be inserted into the bulletin for the weekend on February 26-27th. Please disseminate it through your work, send it to your family and send it to anyone else you can think of who may support this event. Prices are as follows (adults: $6; children ages 7 and up: $4; and children ages 6 and under eat free). Donations are certainly welcome and encouraged.
