April 2011 NEWSLETTER
GRAND KNIGHTS CORNER
Dear Brother Knights and Sister Columbiettes;
I can feel how everyone is ready for some spring or summer weather, well the good news is that winter will not last forever and Easter is just around the corner. Soon we will be outdoors enjoying cookouts and picnics with our families and friends. I and my officers wish all our members and their families a Happy and Healthy Easter.
During Lent, St. Anthony's Church conducts the Stations of the Cross at 7pm on Friday. Each week an organization is responsible for leading the Stations. Brothers please try and make it a point to attend, it does not take long to say the Stations maybe a half-hour. So during Lent it shouldn't be too hard to sacrifice and attend.
We have a few things going on this April, please mark your calendars, we need your support. April 10, KofC breakfast, April 12 our regular meeting and a first degree, April 14 Fish Fry, April 23 Kids Easter party, April 28 Ziti Dinner, and time again for People with Disabilities Drive April 29, 30 and May 1st. Now you see how we need everybody's help and support. I say thank you on behalf of your Officers and Grand Knight, God Bless All.
The Sheet to sign up for the People with Disabilities Drive will be out soon, please come around and choose your hour or hours that you will like to serve.
On April 26, our second meeting of the month will be a social meeting, you can bring along family or friends and make this night a good social night.
We are in need of officers for the Council. If you are interested let us know. Elections will be coming up soon.
Fraternally yours,
Rey Sandoval
Grand Knight

We extend prayers to her family, friends and to our Brother Knight Lenny who was her dear friend and companion. Please always remember her energy and zeal for all things, especially her children, grand children and our great Order.

INSURANCE –Guy J. Mariani
Brothers, In the year 2009, The Knights of Columbus gave back to it’s members and their families over $350,000,000. That’s right. Gave back
350 million dollars. My family and I received almost $3,000. Did you get a share? If not, please call me, so I can let you know how to start
getting your piece of the pie!
P.S…… How did your investments, IRA’S, ROTH IRA’S, 401K’s and money markets do in 2009? Did they lose money? Not gain anything or
just a small amount? You can transfer or Roll Over your existing accounts into the Knights of Columbus and start getting a minimum of 3%.
Please call anytime at (973)586-0098.

Remember clean-up is the third Monday of every month. Next clean-up will be held on May 14th 2011. Come-on down, we can use all the
help. The PVCC meetings are on the First Tuesday of the Month. You just have to be a first degree to attend these meetings. So attend and
offer your suggestions. WE NEED VOLUNTEER BARTENDERS FOR FRIDAY NIGHTS. If interested contact John Burke.
DUES, DUES,DUES
PLEASE GET YOUR DUES IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you are having a problem paying them please call the Financial Secretary Brian Leck. If you had not paid your dues for 2009, the cost is now $70 or more. Please at least send in a portion of the dues, so we
know you are still interested. The council has to pay per-capita taxes to Supreme for its members and also needs the money to keep functioning
properly. Please up date your information when you send in your dues.
GOLF SHIRTS
Many people have been inquiring about purchasing golf shirts with Knights emblem and Council number, FDD Bill Roberts has looked into it.
If anyone is interested, please contact Bill or the Grand Knight.
