The Marianists are men who have joined a Religious Congregation in the Catholic Church, and dedicated themselves to both prayer and work under the patronage of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
The main work of the Marianists is education. We try to spread the knowledge of God and of His Son Jesus, and the love that they offer to all people, in all parts of the world. Most of our work is among the poor and youth.
The Marianists are celibate, committed workers in the vineyard of the Lord, whose purpose is to follow the advice of Mary as she points to her Son, “Do whatever He tells you.”
The Marianists are what is known in the Church as Religious Brothers, although some members are also ordained priests.
