M.I.R.A.C.L.E.'S MISSION

To give poor youth in Karonga trade skills appropriate for the rural market
as well as life skills for a virtuous life.
Both - trade skills and life skills -
will enable young people to earn an income
and to raise Christ-centered families.

M.I.R.A.C.L.E.'S OBJECTIVES

a) To train orphaned youth as grade three level (entry level) artisans.
b) To mold trainees over a period of two years so that they can make moral and responsible decisions in the future.
c) To give a glimpse of the love of God to each trainee.
d) To produce graduates who are wage earners or self employed thus earning an income for his / her family.
e) To produce artisans with farming skills.
f) To produce literate persons who read for information and enjoyment. g) To produce artisans with business skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
h) To produce artisans willing to teach their skills to others.

M.I.R.A.C.L.E. serves the needs of disadvantaged youth in Karonga, Malawi. Its target population is female and male youth between the ages of 17 and 27 years who left school before completing their formal education. Most hold only a junior certificate of education (junior high school), but a few have not even completed primary school. All have lost at least one parent - many of them to AIDS.
