Did you know...we will be having a Mass of Memorial on Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day) at Sacred Heart Conway Parish Cemetery? All are invited to attend the Mass which will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a picnic style lunch. Please bring your lunch and your lawn chairs or blankets. You may also consider hats or sun screen should it be a sunny day. There is no more beautiful way to remember our loved ones who have passed into eternal life than at Mass. Make plans to come and share in this special event that will now be annually observed in our parishes and held at Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. The cemetery is NOT located on the parish church grounds but within a short drive of the church. For those who are unsure of where to go feel free to meet at the church at 9:30 that morning and caravan. Did you know...The money collected from each returned bottle will go to the Knights of Columbus Ultra Sound Initiative and the Pregnancy Care Center of the Ozarks? We now have plenty of bottles available for any of our Mothers who did not get a bottle. Please pick one up at Mass this weekend. The challenge will run from now until June 17, 2012. Mothers who take a bottle should give that bottle to their children, grandchildren, even spiritual children to fill up. Bottles may be filled multiple times between now and the last day of the challenge. Each filled bottle must be presented to one of our office staff who will verify the bottle is full and in turn will issue a ticket to you. Each ticket will enter the holder into a special drawing for a dinner for two provided by Nicola’s Italian Ristorante in Springfield. The drawing will be held after the last day of the challenge. Lets show our mothers how grateful we are for the gift of life and support young mothers in need! Did you know... our DDF appeal is off and running? We are hoping for a Triple Crown this year-a record high number of donors, attainment of our set goal or exceeding the goal and total participation. We need everyone help to make this happen. We all should be grateful to those who have already responded!! I know I am, as your pastor, both humbled and encouraged by the generous response. Please see the article elsewhere in this issue for a full update on our progress. Remember, one person can’t give everything but everyone can give something. Each gift is important! Did you know...a word of congratulations is due to our PCCW on another successful Spring/Summer Yard Sale? The ladies work very hard to pull this event together twice a year and do great things for our parish and our community with the funds raised. Thanks for all the hard work ladies! Did you know... ARISE, a new parish prayer opportunity encouraged by our Bishop will be coming to Holy Trinity Parish? Watch the bulletin for more information and mark your calendars for an early fall launch. Did you know...now is a great time to get involved with our St. Vincent de Paul Society? Contact Paul Epperson at (417) 767-4478 to find out how you can be a part of this good work. If you know of someone in need, please let one of our St. Vincent De Paul Society members know. All referrals will be kept confidential. Blessings, Fr. Scott
