Maternity B. V. M. Church at 9220 Old Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115 US - Sunday Church School and Children's Liturgy of the Word

Parents may drop off their child @ 9:15 a.m. at the Convent so parents can attend the 9:30 a.m. Mass while their little ones participate in a "Seeds" and "Promise" program designed for their specific age group 3 & 4 and 5 year olds and Kindergarten. This catechetical program will be held in the Pre-K classrooms in the lower level of the convent and includes religious storytime, songs, and activities based on Sunday gospels. After the 9:30 a.m. Mass, the parents will pick up their children. Moms, 8^th graders and H.S. are volunteers. The program will begin on Sunday, September 25 and continues throughout the school year.

The children leave Mass at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Word and are brought to a designated area (location - 1^st & 2^nd grade will go to the LC Sacristy and the 3^rd & 4^th grade will go to the UC Sacristy behind St. Joseph’s altar). The Children’s Lectionary will be used for the readings. The children will return to the Mass and their families after the Prayer of the Faithful.
