Monroe Vicariate at 502 West Front Street, Monroe, MI 48161 US - Parishes Identify Cluster Partners

Parishes Identify Cluster Partners

Together In Faith
As part of the Together In Faith process, parishes througout the Archdiocese of Detroit were asked to identify potential "cluster" partners. Should a situation arise within the next five years that would warrant creating a cluster, the parishes involved will have already begun communicating. Clustered parishes share a pastor and work together to coordinate ministeral activities and share staff, program expenses and capital resources, etc. The goal is to maintain the identity of each clustered parish while helping parish communities become more life-giving and self-sustaining. The parishes in the Monroe Vicariate, through their respective parish councils, have all sent letters of agreement to Cardinal Maida indicating their agreement to enter into a cluster arrangement in the event it becomes necessary. The Monroe Vicariate parishes have created the following cluster combinations: Our Lady of Mt Carmel Temperance (and) St Anthony Temperance (and) St Joseph Erie. St Anne Monroe (and) St Charles Newport St Irene Dundee (and) St Joseph Ida St John the Baptist Monroe (and) St Joseph Monroe St Joseph Maybee (and) St Patrick Carleton St Mary Monroe (and) St Michael the Archangel Monroe St Mary Rockwood (and) St Roch Rockwood Parish leadership is invited and encouraged to meet and begin to discuss ways to collaborate and work toward becoming a successful clustered community.
