Francisco ‘Paco” Gavrilides, has been involved in various ministries of evangelization and Christian formation over the last 30 years. He has served within the parish, diocesan and various renewal movement contexts within the Church. Paco received his STB from the archdiocesan seminary in Monterrey, Mexico. He is currently serving as a Coordinator of the Evangelization Office and Coordinator of the annual Catholic men’s conferences. His bilingual skills have enabled him to serve evangelistically both as a conference speaker and teacher throughout Latin America and among the Hispanic population in the United States. Paco holds a leadership position in the National Fellowship of Catholic Men, a national organization dedicated to the evangelization and spiritual renewal of Catholic men. Paco is married to his wife Inez, and they three have children.
 

Father Alex Kratz, O.F.M., is a Franciscan priest in residence at St. Aloysius Parish in downtown Detroit. He holds a B.A. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Divinity Degree (with a concentration in Sacred Scripture) from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Fr. Alex served for almost 4 years as Associate Pastor at St. Michael’s in Southfield. He spent a year in the Holy Land living among Palestinian Christians to learn ways to support the Mother Church of Jerusalem. Currently, he assists on weekends at St. Colette’s in Livonia. Fr. Alex joined the Mobile Evangelization Team of the Archdiocese of Detroit in 2006.

 

 

Judy Maten, is a Coordinator for the Office for Evangelization in the Archdiocese of Detroit. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Lawrence Technical University and a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies with a concentration in Catechesis and Evangelization from Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Prior to joining the Office for Evangelization, Judy was Director of Religious Formation at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, developing programs for children, youth, adults, and sacramental preparation. She is a certified Catechist and youth minister and a member of the Association for Educational Ministers in Catechist Formation (EMCF) and is the host of Cross Connections featured on Michigan Catholic Radio, WCAR 1090 AM. In addition to being a member of the Mobile Evangelization Team, Judy is the coordinator of Women’s Ministries for the Archdiocese of Detroit and a wife and mother of four.
