Moshi Diocese at P.O. Box 3011, Moshi, KL TZ - Vocations Support Program
Vocations Support Program
Our mission is to support formation and education of seminarians (future priests) in the Moshi Diocese, Tanzania.
Due to the poverty of the people, the diocese is facing financial challenges in training her future priests. Training of the Seminarians is the key project of the diocese. We thank God that we are very blessed with many vocations to priesthood and religious life. However, on our own,we do not have enough financial support for training these future priests and religious. These are future local and international priests and religious. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
There are two categories of seminarians: minor and major.
Category One: Minor seminarians are high [secondary] school-age boys who have a desire to become priests. They are given special formation and High School education in a minor seminary for 6 years. The current annual school fee at minor seminary is $600.
Category Two: Major seminarians are college young men who have decided to pursue their vocation to the priesthood. Their college studies focus on Philosophy (3 years) and Theology (4 years). Annual cost at Major Seminary is $800.
You can help to support the Moshi Diocese seminarians with a one-time or monthly donation. You may give your donation to the general fund for seminarians or you can pick up one boy and support him throughout his journey to priesthood. Either way is highly appreciated.
