My Father's House , a renewal and retreat center located on 62 acres of beautiful rolling hills, was founded by co-directors, Missionary of the Holy Apostles Father Bill McCarthy, and Sister of St. Joseph, Sister Bernadette Sheldon, who received the vision to start a house of prayer. It was officially dedicated by Bishop Daniel P. Reilly on June 15, 1984. The facility has available places to meet your needs along physical, spiritual, and recreational lines,. It's thrust is Catholic and ecumenical, charismatic and mainstream, individual and family. Its life style is simple, loving, and prayerful. It is also available for family reunions and receptions. There is a large Christian video and audio cassette library as well as recreational equipment and picnic areas available - all in a typical rustic, resort-type setting. The charism of My Father's House is the Father's love that is manifested personally to each through Jesus. The spirituality centers on a personal relationship with Christ; the formation and enhancement of open, loving, sensitive, and forgiving relationships; and the enabling of everyone to realize and fulfill the personal call of God upon their lives.

from HARTFORD, CT
Take route 2 east to exit 16, take a right onto Route 149 and go 8 miles to Moodus Center, take a right at the blinking light onto North Moodus Road. My Father's House is on the left just past the cemetery.

from NORWICH, CT
CT-2W toward Colchester/Hartford (11.5 miles). Exit 18 onto CT-16 (Colchester/Middletown). Go LEFT at the Stoplight at the end of EXIT 18's off ramp (0.1 miles). After 4.3 miles TAKE a LEFT onto CT-149 (Winchester Road). After 3.9 miles TURN RIGHT onto North Moodus Road. The Retreat Center will be on your RIGHT after you go 0.3 miles

from Route 9 (North or South)
Take exit 7 to end of the long ramp. Take left onto route 154 and the first right onto route 82 across the bridge. Take first left onto route 149 and follow to Moodus Center. Take left at the blinking light onto North Moodus Road. My Father's House is on the left after the cemetery.

from PROVIDENCE, RI
Go west on route 6 into CT and connect with I-395 heading South. Follow the directions from this point as given in the directions from Worcester, MA

from WORCESTER,MA
Take I-290 towards the Mass Turnpike intersection; at that point continue south on I-395 into CT. Take exit 82 for route 2 west. Go right at the end of the exit ramp onto a local road. After about a mile there will be an on-ramp onto route 2 west. Get in the left lane and follow the route 2 signs. Take exit 18-route 16 exit. Go left onto route 16. Travel a few miles to the 4-way traffic light at the intersection with route 149. Make a left onto route 149 and go about 5 miles. At the 4-way blinking light make a right onto North Moodus Road. My Father's House is on the left about 3/10 mile, just past the cemetery.

from DANBURY & WATERBURY
Take I-84 east to route 691 (meriden exit). Follow 691 into Middletown. Take left onto main street and go across the Portland bridge. Take first right onto route 66, go 5 miles to the center of Cobalt. Take right onto route 151 (7 miles down, watch for 151 to take a left turn). Stay on 151 until it joins 149. Proceed up the hill to the blinking light and take left onto North Moodus Road. 3/10 of a mile on the left is My Father's House.
