- PARKING AT ST. PAUL'S NEWMAN CENTER: Our new parking lot policy will be put into effect September 21st. Permit parking only from Midnight to 5 pm weekdays. There will be free parking for Newman Associates from 5 pm to midnight weekdays and Saturday and Sunday. Permits will be available beginning September 15th-see Jean Henning. The cost is $50 and only students registered at the Newman Center can apply, or those that have approval from Father Cheney. We'll sell 70 permits for 35 parking spots with the understanding it's first come first served among permit holders.
- REGISTERING IN THE PARISH: Every year we ask that all parishioners register in the Parish (even ifyou have registered in prior years). If you didn't register last fall, please register now. You can also come in and register in the office anytime, it takes just a few minutes.
- THE GOD'S GIFT APPEAL St. Paul's Newman Center's 2010 goal is $18,900. As of February 26th we have reached $2,745 with 13% of the Parish responding. All households are encouraged to return your personalized pledge card which you received in early February. Place your pledge card (inside the envelope provided) in the collection basket next week. - SUNDAY, MARCH 7TH-"CONTRACEPTION AND THE NEW SEXUAL REVOLUTION', 7PM, NDSU MEMORIAL UNION, GREAT PLAINS BALLROOM. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!! Dr. Janet Smith, addresses contraception and how it is such an accepted fixture in our culture and medical practice that a serious challenge is indeed rare. Professor Smith provokes her audience to give serious consideration to questions regarding the relationship between contraception, divorce, abortion, poverty, and other social ills. - BIKE RACE FUNDRAISING NIGHT Join us for the first of our two fundraising events, Wednesday, March 3rd at 7:00 pm, to help students riding in the bike race raise money-we do all the work!! Just show up with 20 names and addresses and you could win a 32 inch flat screen TV!

- A MEN'S IGNATIAN SILENT RETREAT will be held March 18-21 at Cardinal Muench Seminary in Fargo. The silent retreat begins Thursday evening and concludes Sunday mid-afternoon. Fr. Greg Cleveland is a Spiritual Director for the Lanteri Center for Ignatian Spirituality in Denver, CO. and has had much experience in directing silent retreats and offering spiritual direction. Cost for the retreat is $225. Each retreatant will have a private room, but shared shower and bathrooms. All meals are provided. Registration deadline is March 1, 2010. - NDSU NEWMAN CENTER ENDOWMENT FUND: we have established an endowment fund for St. Paul's Newman Center to help meet our operational expenses ($225k /yr). An endowment fund is an account where the principal may not be withdrawn. The current total is $16,060.
