EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Congratulations to Jacquie Roach long time editor of our newsletter.  The CLA recently gave the chapter the Newsletter Award for the current year.   This is Jacquie's last year as Newletter Editor as she begins a well earned retirement from both the Neumann Chapter and her work as  a Reference Librarian.  Also congratulations to our retiring President Cathy Fennell who will be giving up the leadership of our chapter only to be tapped as the incoming President of the CLA.  We wish them both the very best.

We welcome Trish Spadaro  of Kennedy- Kenrick High School to the board as our Vice President.  She will be assisting Nancy Sommers from John Hallanan  who  is our new President.

Finally thanks to all who helped make the Philadelphia Convention such a big success.  We are grateful for all the time people spent making favors, manning the registration booth and just showing the atendees that Philadelphia is truely the city of Brotherly Love.

Our Fall workshop has been tentatively scheduled for October 12th and will be held at Archbishop Ryan High School.  Thanks Mary for hosting  us.  Topics will include workshops on both Winnebago and Follett including the use of MARC records and Collection development.  In the afternoon, there will be a panel of local authors who will discuss their work.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.  So make plans now to join us.
