Welcome to our Web Site!

 Greetings from the ODCCW President!

The Orlando Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (ODCCW) celebrates a new affiliation in Central Deanery - St. Augustine, Casselberry. Congratulations Central Deanery.

Several affiliations now have their own websites. Please let me know if your affiliation has a website so we can put a link on this site. This is a good communication tool.

Pathways to Care in Casselberry is in need of funding to purchase tables and chairs for their facility. This is a wonderful facility that helps the homeless recover from surgery after leaving the hospital. The total cost is $2500.00 but they would appreciate any donations at this time.

The Leadership Symposium at Lake Yale is set for July 25 and 26, 2009. “KEYS to A Successful CCW” is the theme for this year's gathering. Mark your calendars!

Southern Deanery and Western Deanery have hosted membership drives to contact all parishes in their deaneries that are not affiliated with CCW. Contact your Deanery President if you have any contacts at these parishes. Northern, Eastern and Central Deaneries will be scheduling a drives soon.

May God bless each of you as we continue to do God's work.

ABOUT US

The Orlando Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (ODCCW) represents the Catholic women in the Diocese of Orlando through parish affiliations or groups.  We have 33 affiliations at the present time in the five deaneries:  Central DeaneryEastern Deanery, Northern Deanery, Southern Deanery, and Western Deanery.  Each deanery elects three representatives to serve on the ODCCW Board.

The Orlando Council is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) and strives to “support, educate, and empower” the women in our diocese “in spirituality, leadership, and service,” as stated in the NCCW Mission Statement.

The President of the ODCCW represents the women in the diocese at the State (or Province) level by attending meetings of the Florida Council of Catholic Women (FCCW), also known as the Province of Miami.  The FCCW President, in turn, represents the women in the state of Florida by serving on the Board of the National Council of Catholic Women.

Our organization is a service organization and we are structured around six (6) commissions:  Church, Family, Community, International, Legislation, and Organization.  The work of the Council is done through these commissions.
