WHAM (We Have A Mission) WHAM meets on Sunday nights from 6:00PM until 7:30PM at the Kateri Lodge. WHAM is a youth group setting with a curriculum designed to meet the teens where they are. There are games, mixers, socials, teachings, discussions, and times of worship and prayer…there is something for every teen at every level of their faith. We have also introduced a new format for WHAM on a couple of Sunday nights a month. This format is a small group style instruction where we gather as a large group and then break into small groups for the evening. We wrap up as large group. This format is designed to promote an atmosphere where the youth feel more comfortable discussing the topic of the evening in a smaller, more laid back setting. November 1, 2009 parents night WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY OLC PEER MINISTRY We encourage HIGH SCHOOL TEENS who have been confirmed in the Catholic Church and have a solid relationship with God to consider sharing this with the middle school youth. Peer ministry is not easy. It requires discipline, dedication, excellence and passion. Training is provided and we will have regular meetings and ongoing formation. By the end of the training process peer ministers will plan, organize, and execute a session for the Urgency Lenten Retreat. Many former peer ministers have shared how their faith matures during their time in peer ministry. Their service is a living example of the servant heart of Christ. This year the peer ministry team will be limited to 12 students. An application process and interview are required. The application is available on the parish website, and are due October 4th. Interviews will be scheduled during the first part of October. See calendar for Peer ministry meeting times. EXALT Nights Back by very popular demand, EXALT Nights will be offered again this year (November 15th, March 21st). EXALT Nights are held in the church and are open to the entire parish. Led by the High School Peer Ministry Team, EXALT Nights consist of a powerful and moving talk from dynamic speakers, upbeat contemporary worship music, and a time of adoration and benediction. Exalt Nights start at 6:00PM and conclude at 7:30PM with light refreshments.

High School Shine Youth Conference
Don't miss this inspiring weekend of Faith! Shine Youth Conferences are saturated with spirit-filled praise and worship, anointed Liturgy, nationally acclaimed speakers, and opportunities to draw closer to Christ particularly in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Adoration, and opportunities of service to neighbor. Register early to receive a substantial discount in the registration fee. Registration forms are available on the parish website. Ride share information will be available later.
On Friday, high school students from churches around the Diocese of Grand Rapids will gather to be encouraged through music and presentations. Saturday we'll let God work through us as we break into work teams and go out into the city of Muskegon to serve by helping people with yard work, doing light home repairs, serving food pantries or food kitchens, visiting nursing homes, etc... When we get back we will share our stories and then experience the power of God through a life changing time of worship. Sunday we'll be sent forth from our closing Mass to go and to continue to serve the Lord! Our closing Mass is open for families to attend!
