SPECIAL EDUCATION Our Lady of Fatima Parish School does not have a resource center for special education faculty to support a student with specific learning disabilities or behavior disorders; therefore; it is difficult to provide adequate instruction or experiences for the academic achievement and progress for a child. Should parents of students with learning disabilities or other learning problems and faculty determined that Our Lady of Fatima Parish School is a good environment for the child, it will be the responsibility of the parents to meet often with the teacher. Therefore, both parents and teachers are aware of the progress or problems of the child and of changes or successful experiences that need to be continued to assist the child to succeed. During the school year and also during the summer vacation break, it may be necessary for the parents to provide a tutor qualified to work with children with learning disbilities. Other professional assistance may be necessary for successful learning, such as speech therapists, hearing specialists, and counselors.
