The recently establish ministry for the sick and shut-ins, “Homebound Ministry,” provides DVD copies of the weekly Mass for viewing at home. A limited number of copies are available at this time and can be borrowed at no cost. The Mental Health Awareness Vigil on DVD and supporting brochures and information are also available through the parish office. If you cannot come to church to worship God, then God will come to you through this ministry. A note from our Homebound Ministry Organizer I am very happy to announce that the sound quality of our DVD’s is greatly improved! We are now tied into the speaker system of our church and it is easier to hear and understand what’s going on. This ministry is a labor of love for all of the sick and shut-ins of our community and as such, I believe that it is right to include YOU in OUR ministry. You can be an important part of this if you want to become involved. You can keep this going for people who cannot come to church. The disks we provide are free and on loan from the parish office. Basic equipment has been purchased and production time has been set up through volunteers. We could use your help with the supplies involved in the production of our DVD’s. Recording tapes, blank DVD’s, labels for the disks, plastic cases, etc. are needed to continue the ministry. We do not need thousands of dollars for this project, but we do need to cover the costs involved so that we can “break even.” You can help by donating to the Homebound Ministry fund so that the needed items can be purchased. It will remain our intention to provide this service for FREE to anyone who would like to see our weekly Mass. If you find this ministry to the sick helpful, then you can make it happen. By your goodwill and sacrifice, you can make a difference in the life of a homebound person. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to do some good for others and this could be a perfect way for you to make a difference. Let's make this ministry “Our Ministry” to our community. Who knows...this could grow to become a great source for Catholic evangelization as well as providing a needed connection to our church. No longer will our shut-ins be cut off from Our Lord, but because you care, they will be included in our Fatima Family through this ministry. Take some time to prayerfully discern whether or not you would like to participate in this ministry. Out of love for Christ, each of us must take responsibility to proclaim the Good News everywhere in the world, handing it on from generation to generation.
