On August 12, 2007, a new Covenant was signed between St. Mary's in Appleton WI and the Alabama parishes of Holy Family in Fayette and Holy Spirit in Winfield. We were very happy to have Deacon Gerry and his parishioners come to visit and renew this special relationship with us. To see pictures of the Covenant signing at Holy Family, click HERE.

A wonderful relationship between St. Mary of the Seven Dolors in Appleton WI, Holy Spirit in Winfield AL, and Holy Family in Fayette AL was undertaken over a year ago when the Matthew 25 committee of St. Mary set on the idea of reaching out spiritually and financially to help mission churches in the United States. With the help of Glenmary, Holy Family and Holy Spirit were chosen and representatives from St. Mary came to Alabama to visit with us. As we moved further into this relationship, a Covenant was written and approved by Matthew 25. Not as an ending, but as the true beginning, on the weekend of 22 & 23 July 2006, Jeanne Strickland of Holy Family and Becky Thomas of Holy Spirit went on a trip to Appleton. As representatives of our two parishes, they signed the Covenant with St. Mary Parish. Thus begins a relationship of prayer, and well as sharing of ideas, emails, and pictures between the parishes.
