The school has classes from early childhood (3 years old) through eighth grade; about 220 students are enrolled.  Pope John Paul II School is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference, and its teachers are licensed by the State of Florida.

Pope John Paul II School ranks high in academic achievement.  In 2006, grades 3, 4, and 7 outscored the Diocese of St. Petersburg and the state of Florida averages on all 19 standardized tests. All other classes surpassed in 10 of 19 tests.

Families seeking registration in Pope John Paul II Catholic School of Citrus County must:

·        Be registered in the parish for at least three months

·        Regularly attend Mass, especially the children

·        Use weekly envelopes as part of their stewardship

·        Commit time and talent to parish ministry activities

·        Agree to and sign a parish affiliation form. (Forms are available in the parish office and at the school.)

·        Follow the tradition of Pope John Paul II Catholic School families coordinating the Confirmation reception each year.

·        Support Catholic School Week and the tuition appeal thought special activities during the specified weekend at the parish.
