Our Lady Of Grace - Beverly Hills, FL at 6 Roosevelt Blvd, Beverly Hills, FL 34465 US - Parish Cluster Team

Parish Cluster Team

Purpose:
Established by the Deanery Leadership Team, these parish groupings are created to carry out the grassroots assessing and planning process as well as reporting their findings to the Deanery Leadership Team. These PCTs are groupings of parishes ranging in size from 2 parishes to as many as 6 parishes working together in a local region. The PCTs are charged with exploring and identifying viable opportunities of pastoral model(s) and strategies to better position the cluster for serving the faith communities in their local area. These opportunities are used by the Deanery Leadership Team to form recommendations for the Diocesan Steering Committee.

Participants:
Pastor and parish representative from each of the cluster parishes

Specific Tasks:

  1. Visit each parish in the assigned parish cluster.
  2. Utilize the Parish Visit Resource Tool to interview key parish people and learn about the parish and the parish "stories" behind the data collected.
  3. As a Parish Cluster Team identify opportunities for pastoral model(s) and strategies that will better position the cluster for serving the faith communities in their local area.
  4. The submitted opportunities by the Parish Cluster Teams to the Deanery Leadership Team are to focus on addressing the reasons why this process has been initiated:
    • Declining number of priests available to serve
    • Shifting in local demographics
    • Stewardship challenges of available resources
  1. Submit identified opportunities to the Deanery Leadership Team by October 15, 2009.

Team Options to consider:

  1.      Utilize the Parish Leadership Team to help with the visits especially when hosting a parish visit.
       2.      Utilize information the parish has already gathered from the parish survey and town hall meetings.
       3.      Take the time to get to know the neighboring parishes
       4.      Develop or expand working relationships with each parish in the cluster
       5.      Encourage the Parish Leadership Team to use the information gathered from the parish survey, parish profile, and town hall meetings to identify and address internal parish opportunities that are not dependent on the Deanery Planning Process
