A monk is one who spends his life seeking God in prayer, in humble work, in community living and in solitude. You can become a monk. God may be calling you to live this way of life. The monks at Mount St Benedict follow a daily schedule balancing prayer, work, lectio and rest. At regular times during the day, they pray the Divine Office, a series of psalms and scripture-based prayers and readings that follow the liturgical seasons.
