As we approach the end of the Year of the Eucharist, it is fitting to gather in grateful appreciation to honor our priests for all they do for us, and especially for the Eucharist, which comes to us through their hands. Priests from all over the diocese were invited to this special celebration.
On Wednesday, October 12th, 2005, the celebration began at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola. Mass was celebrated by the Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of Palm Beach at 11:00 am. The luncheon followed at PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens. Ellen Bachman, President of the National Council of Catholic Women, spoke at the luncheon. Ellen concluded with a special prayer and blessing for all the priests. It was a memorable day and a very small way for the women of the Palm Beach Diocesan Council of Catholic Women to show their appreciation for our Priests.
