The Southern Deanery was both pleased and excited to host the Marian Day Celebration 2/18/2008 at the Duncan Center, Military Trail just north of Linton Blvd in Delray Beach. The day began with honoring Mary our Mother in the recitation of the Rosary. 14 women from all three deaneries of the CCW participated in active role playing of the Stations of the Cross. After the celebration of the Eucharist, we enjoyed a delicious full luncheon before having the opportunity for private meditation or travel the labyrinth for guided meditation. The afternoon ended with the history of and investiture in the Brown Scapular by Fr Aquinas Stack O.Carm. 75 Participants spent $25.00 wisely ! and a lucky few even went home with some door prizes. Our beautiful tables favors were gratiously handmade by Joanne Valiante, president of St Jude, Boca, CCW.
Thank You to everyone who attended and participated, especially Sr Frances Madigan,OP Spirituality Chairman for So Deanery, and Fr. Charles Hawkins, Spiritual Moderator and main celebrant.
